Missing and Abducted Children - Find Missing Children
SINCE 1991 The Committee for Missing Children has helped parents find their missing children. They - and their photo partners - have distributed over 2 billion images of missing children in elementary schools throughout the USA. Their success rate to date is significant. Millions of images of approximately 1500 children have bombarded our nations' elementary schools and, through this method, they have assisted in the recovery of over 1200 missing children!
A major problem for parents
One major problem that a parent of a missing child faces is: "Where do I turn." Imagine if your child was missing. What would you do? When parents are faced with apathy or inaction from those who should be helping them, The Committee for Missing Children is a breath of fresh air. They help provide vital information is where to go, what to do, and what can be done.
Parents have a right to be involved.
Parents of missing and abducted children have a right to be involved in the search for their own children. The Committee for Missing Children's web site will help parents better understand what they will be up against was well as how to work within the system. The site is open to anyone and all information is available for downloading. Please honor any copyright restrictions as well as copy restrictions of the different linked sites.
The Committee for Missing Children's website was created as a resource for parents of missing children as well as lawyers, other non-profits and non-governmental agencies, and the agencies that must deal with child abduction. As both an educational and informational resource, the site addresses many of the weaknesses in our national and international child-find systems. They link to almost one hundred non-profit child-find organizations and Non Governmental Organizations (NGO's) throughout the world.
Other Child-Find Groups
Many non-profit child-find organizations have been created to assist parents in the search and recovery of their children, as well as work in the areas of safety and prevention. The Committee for Missing Children's website can be used as a tool to contact other child-find groups. We feel it is important to help you find any of the non-profit groups that can help you with your child-find needs. We believe that through the sites and phone numbers of those listed, you will find people very helpful in getting you information.
